“Do you like the theater, my child? If so, prepare to see it now … because I have a real old fashioned game for you. You should only pass through this ancient wooden door and going back back in time as long as 100 years ago.
Look at this table in the corner where the old woman is knead the dough … Hey, lady are going to treat this guy with our delicious … ”
Those were the words that I spoke the thin middle-aged man, who I met at the entrance of the Ethnographic Museum in the city of Lovech. The man was exhausted bathing suit and had a bowler hat on his head washed. He was describing situations and imagining the old days of customs to me in a way that would never forget.
“And here the old woman asked what to put in the crock pot … be bean soup or feta cheese with parsley and herbs, “the man continued talking to me and started coming scenes clearly before my eyes as if you were back in the past -. I saw the old woman, drawing packages of bread from the built-in closet. I could imagine your kitchen, and almost felt aromatic smell in the air, when the man hit in the shoulder and showed me the metal box. There were old printing the letters, saying ” Milka Sushard. “He explained that this was the first box with cocoa to drink, which was imported into Bulgaria in distant 1901.
That was the most fascinating journey into a museum could ever imagine. He was playing to tell stories about the past, history and customs of people living in the two chambers of the museum construction today.
Lovech ethnographic museum located in the Bulgarian national revival Quarter of Varosha, at the foot of Hissarya Hill, where the old Hissarya Fortress. The exhibitions are organized in two old houses that used to be houses of the revolutionary Drásov and musician Ivan Nencho Rashev. La Casa del Drásov was built during the first century of the 19th century. The exhibition represents the family home of a wealthy merchant during the change of traditional lifestyle of a national revival style typical of the city with the influence of Western Europe. The exponents are original and have belonged to the old families of Lovech, who lived in the late 19th century.
The other Rashev house was built in 1835. The exhibition presents the lifestyle of a clever writer from the 30′s and 40′s the 20 century. The house also features a special room, showing the daily life of girls, who live in Lovech at that time. “Here you see a girl who is spinning,” the sheriff told him: “There is the girl playing the piano, and this girl is reading a book. See how the girls used to play, when 100 years ago no no was no Internet, no TV, no radio, “he continued explaining.
In the ethnographic museum you can learn not only about the history of both houses. Just past the wooden door to the police station the hill and show strength through and tell you: “This ancient fortress was built in Roman times, when in 1187 the Byzantine Empire signed a peace treaty with the brothers Asen and Peter, and this is actually the beginning of the Second Bulgarian Kingdom. The strength of Lovech is one of the last, captured by the invading Ottomans. “Just as fascinating as the commissioner will continue to speak of great battles, the times of glory and courageous leaders to find that Lovech is becoming more beautiful and comfortable for you. Then it will more than likely, you will always want visit again and again, from time to time.
Finally, the man sent to the door, but this is not the end of their stories. You see a white house museum over to you and say. “Bulgarian A great man, born in Lovech lived in that house its destination starts from here, and this leads to the exact destination space in 1977.” Well, all Bulgarians can guess that this man is the famous Bulgarian cosmonaut Georgi Ivanov. Probably not many know about the troubles of Russia-Bulgarian crew during the flight, the great failure on board the spacecraft and the self-control, courage and skills of the two pilots – Georgi Ivanov and Rukavishnikov Nikolay, who successfully landed “Soyoz 33″ art on Earth.
The curator of the museum will tell the whole story, play it on the shoulder, we wish you “good luck” and direct you to take the best route for tourism. Up the hill from the fortress, “Vasil Levski” Museum of History, “Holy Virgin Mary” Church Stratesh Park the zoo, and of course the Koli Ficheto covered bridge. “Farewell, my son,” he finally says goodbye with a smile on his face.
